電気自動車初体験! Electric Car in Awaji!
みなさんが電気自動車に乗ったことがありますか。
わたしも展示会などで見ることがあっても、
まさか自分がこんなにすぐ公道で運転できる日がくるなんて、
思ってもいませんでした。
Have you driven electric vehicle?
I often see it at showroom or exhibition recently but I didn’t expect that I ride by myself such soon!
先日、淡路に行った時のことについてブログで書きましたが、
実はその時に、超小型電気自動車に乗って観光してきました。
I wrote about my Awaji island trip in last article.
Actually I visited some places by driving micro electric car in Aawaji island.
今回利用したのは、県や淡路島観光協会が実施しているプロジェクトで、
「あわモビ」と名付けられたとってもかわいくて小さい電気自動車を、
淡路島島内のみの利用、高速道路に乗らないなどの条件付きで、最長6時間利用できます。
そして、なんと無料なんです！
This is a project conducted by prefecture and Awaji Island Tourist Association and you can rend a micro electric vehicle named “Awamobi”.
You can use it maximum 6 hours a day under conditions as driving within Awaji island and not taking expressway.
Surprisingly you can book and enjoy this electric vehicle for free!!!

この自動車には窓とエアコンがついてないので、
春と秋だけに貸し出しが実施されています。
Unfortunately, this cute car doesn’t have windows and air-conditioner, you can drive only in spring and autumn.
実は、私は運転免許を持っているものの、
5年くらいハンドルを握ってなかったので、
ドキドキしたんですが、小型だったし淡路は車も少ないので、
安心して運転できました。
それでは、ちょっとどんな感じだったか動画で車の中を紹介しますね。
To tell the truth...I had not driven for almost 5 years, so I was bit nervous.
But it was very comfortable and feeling safe because “Awamobi” is very compact and there are less cars in Awaji island.

無事に日本一大きい鳥居のあるおのころ島神社まで行って帰ってくることができましたよ。

I could drive to “Onokoro-jima shrine” which has the biggest shrine gate by Awamobi safely.
If you have an opportunity to visit Awaji island, I definitely recommend you to check if Awamobi is available on your trip.
